The Landlord Tax Calendar
Missing a tax deadline can cost you penalties, interest, and sleep. Here’s your complete calendar for the year.
January
- 31st: Deadline to provide 1099 forms to contractors you paid $600+ during the previous year.
March–April
- 15th: Quarterly estimated tax payment due (Q1). If you expect to owe $1,000+ in taxes, you must make quarterly payments.
- 15th: S-corporation and partnership returns due (Form 1065, 1120S). These get a Schedule K-1 that flows to your personal return.
June
- 15th: Quarterly estimated tax payment due (Q2).
September
- 15th: Quarterly estimated tax payment due (Q3). Also the extended deadline for S-corp and partnership returns if you filed an extension.
October
- 15th: Extended individual tax return deadline (if you filed Form 4868 by April 15).
